About

Georgia Hewitt is an American artist based in the New York metropolitan area. Having lived in South Korea on and off for 15 years, her artistic perspective has been shaped by an experience of different cultures, environments, and visual traditions. Her work explores movement, beauty, and the passage of time, often drawing inspiration from the fleeting life of flowers and the natural world. Through expressive compositions, rich color, and layered surfaces, her paintings capture moments of transformation and reflect on the relationship between beauty and impermanence. Alongside her studio practice, Hewitt teaches art to children K-12 in New Jersey, sharing her appreciation for painting and the creative process with others.
